AQA 63336 celebrity answers - Lara Lewington

Trawling through customers' questions, we couldn't but note a fascination with the weather, and with presenters who appear on TV to help us decide whether to wear crocs or wellies.

Lara Lewington, one of the stars of the UK's TV channel Five, is a big favourite with AQA 63336 texters, popular for both her weather presenting as well as her showbiz reports. We interrupted her forecasts to ask her a few questions.

Q. Who is Lara Lewington?
A. I am the Five News Weather and Entertainment presenter. I also write for a few papers, including a weekly showbiz column and celebrity property features for The Mail on Sunday.

Q. What's the meaning of life?
A. Whatever you choose it to be.

Lara Lewington

Q. Are you a spender or thrifty?
A. I've always been good with money and good at saving when I can. If I wasn't, my partner Martin Lewis (of Money Saving Expert fame) would make sure I was!

Q. Where's the sunniest place in the UK?
A. The sun always shines in Bognor Regis (it's where my family are from).

Q. Who's the smartest 'celebrity' you've ever interviewed, and why?
A. I don't know about smartest, the reality is most people who make it in Hollywood have to be pretty smart. But one who I especially liked was Cameron Diaz as was she was so comfortable laughing at herself, she could teach a few other celebs a thing or two about not taking themselves so seriously!

Q. You share a birthday with Bono, Dennis Bergkamp and Linda Evangelista. Any similarities?
A. Two eyes, a nose and a mouth.

Q. What's the best bargain you've ever bought?
A. A pair of Marc Jacobs shoes - £40 from a second hand shop and I've absolutely lived in them. They'd have cost nearer £400 new.

Q. What question would you most like AQA 63336 to answer for you?
A. How can I get the power to actually make the sun shine?

Q. If you were to write a book, what would it be about?
A. What celebrities are really like... so they should be nice to me!

Q. Should they bring back "It's a Knockout"?
A. I worked on the show when they brought it back 10 years ago, I had a lot of fun running around in costumes to check they worked properly then - maybe another revival would be fun - but I guess it would have to be a celeb special these days.

Q. What are your goals for the next 5 years?
A. To be happy and healthy, working hard but spending enough time with the people I care about.

Q. Who manages the home finances?
A. My partner Martin Lewis... I'm in charge of knowing the weather.
